Medical Biochemical Analysis Department Students Visited a Private Hospital
On October 15th, 2023 (Sunday), the second-stage students of the aforementioned department, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Zubaidah Husham Shukur, visited Mehrabane Hospital in Erbil.
It is as part of their field activities to train and introduce them to the working environment. They were warmly welcomed by the Director of the hospital, Dr. Burhan Ahmad Saleh.
The laboratory supervisors provided the students with in-depth explanations about the types of equipment used in the laboratory and those used for laboratory test purposes.
Through this visit, the students also gained knowledge of how to enter the samples using the devices and how to analyze the results for various tests such as Hematology, Hormonal, Biochemistry, Bacteria Culturing, and allergy tests devices such as Cobas C 311, Cobas e 411, and CBC, Improvio C, VITEK 2 COMPAC, and CBC.
