The Department of Radiological Imaging Technologies Organized a Scientific Trip to Erbil International Hospital

On October 16, 2023 (Monday), the second-stage Radiological Imaging Technologies Department students of Cihan University-Erbil, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Navid Abdolkarimi Esmaeil, held a scientific visit to Erbil International Hospital in Erbil. The primary aim of this visit was to increase students’ knowledge of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) devices.

They were welcomed by the Hospital General Manager, Dr. Bewar Barznji. During this scientific visit, the students were divided into groups. They observed the techniques and the basics of MRI physics and received explanations about how the hydrogen atoms get aligned with a magnetic field when diagnosing patients. After that, the students went to the MRI technical room and were introduced to all parts of the devices.

In the end, the students left the hospital satisfied with the valuable information they gained from this visit.
