Nutrition and Dietetics students visited a special exhibition on the food industry

On Saturday,24/11/2022, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Shakir Mahmoud Jafar and Lecturer Ghofran, some students from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at Cihan University Erbil, visited the Erbil International Exhibition, the largest exhibition on agriculture and food industries in Iraq.
During the exhibition visit, students were familiar with the products of several different local and foreign companies, especially food companies. They also found different varieties of foods specified for people with allergies or food problems. The company representatives discussed the importance of dietetics graduates in the food industry, particularly in food-making companies, as they discussed building relationships with the community to promote healthy living.
At the inauguration of the exhibition, Kamal Muslim, Minister of Commerce and Industry of the Kurdistan Regional Government, and Omid Khoshnaw, governor of Erbil, attended several consulates of countries in Kurdistan. It is worth mentioning that the Food and Agriculture Exhibition took place at the Erbil International Exhibition with the participation of 200 companies from 12 countries.
A three-day agricultural equipment exhibition was also held as part of the third annual exhibition.
