President of Cihan University-Erbil opens an art exhibition for a student at General Education Department
On Thursday, November 18th, 2021, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Dalawi, President of Cihan University- Erbil, an art exhibition was displayed by Maryam Maher, second year student from General Education Department. The art exhibition was attended by Dr. Mayson Al Haidari, the vice President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Abdul Aoun, Head of General Education Department, faculty members of the department, and lecturers and students from various academic departments of the university. It is worth mentioning that the event took place at Cihan Art Exhibition of the Cultural Center at Cihan University Erbil, in cooperation with the cultural center of the university.
After the opening, the student explained the meaning and the importance of each painting to the president of the university. She also added that the paintings reflect on humans’ daily lives. In addition, she said we can make use of art to serve humanity and respect the value of society. Prof. Dr. Amjad expressed his admiration for the artistic works of the student and wished her success in her future works.
During his talk to Cihan Television Channel, the President of the university stressed the importance of having such exhibitions as it can help students to develop their skills and talents and it prepare them for the labor market.
It is worth mentioning that this is the second exhibition for the student, Maryam Maher who has worked hard to discover her talent and develop it. The exhibition included more than 20 paintings in different subjects. At the end of the event, the attendees thanked her and appreciated her artistic works and wished her continuous success and more and more creativity in the future.
