Prof. Dr. Al-Delawi Expresses Gratitude to Faculty and Staff of Cihan University-Erbil
In recognition of Cihan University-Erbil’s remarkable achievement in the 2025 British Times Higher Education Rankings (Interdisciplinary Science Rankings), Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, President of Cihan University-Erbil, extended his gratitude and appreciation to the university’s faculty and staff.
In a letter issued on Sunday, November 24, 2024, with reference number 2065, Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi acknowledged the university’s exceptional accomplishment. The letter stated: “In the most recent Times Higher Education Rankings 2025, Cihan University-Erbil has been ranked the first among all public and private universities in the Kurdistan Region and second among all public and private universities in Iraq.”
The president further commended the university’s faculty and staff for their unwavering commitment and invaluable contributions. “We appreciate your continuous efforts and support, particularly in implementing significant initiatives to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 17. Your dedication to fulfilling your duties and responsibilities is greatly admired. We wish you continued success and advancement in your scientific endeavours.”
The Times Higher Education Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2025, published recently, assessed the performance of academic institutions from 92 countries worldwide. Among the listed universities, Cihan University-Erbil achieved a global ranking of 251, cementing its reputation as a leading academic institution.
