Professor Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, President of Cihan University-Erbil, Receives Second Delegation from Iraqi Ministry of Commerce
On Sunday, October 25, 2026, Professor Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, President of Cihan University-Erbil, received a second delegation from the Ministry of Commerce of the Iraqi Federal Government, led by Nadia Jaafar Naseef, Associate Director General of the Administrative and Financial Directorate.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Abdul Sattar Karim Saeed, Vice President for Administrative and Student Affairs, and Assistant Professor Dr. Hawkar Qasim Pirdawood, Head of the Business Administration Department, during which various aspects and the significance of the training course were discussed.
Focus on Capacity Development
Professor Dr. Amjad warmly received the delegation and expressed satisfaction with organizing the second training course for Iraqi Ministry of Commerce personnel in less than 10 days.
According to him, the university will continuously organize specialized training sessions in different disciplines in line with the university’s consistent strategy to strengthen academic standards and develop the administrative capacities of civil servants across various institutions in both the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Federal Government.
In response, Nadia Jaafar Naseef expressed gratitude to Cihan University-Erbil for organizing the aforementioned course that can develop institutional human resources.
Course Commencement
Following the meeting, a specialized Human Resource Management training course commenced for staff and directors from various departments of the Iraqi Ministry of Commerce.
The participating delegation includes officials and personnel from the Administrative and Financial Directorate and the Office of the Deputy Minister for Economic Affairs:
- Nadia Jaafar Naseef — Associate Director General of the Administrative and Financial Directorate.
- Suhair Abbas Jaber — Director of the Human Resources Department.
- Abbas Hassoon Matar — Director of the Corporate Personnel Affairs Department.

- Mohammed Khudhair Abbas — Head Supervisor at the Office of the Deputy Minister for Economic Affairs.
