Public Administration Students Conduct a Scientific Visit to Pirmam Hospital

On Sunday, December 14, 2025, the Public Administration Department at Cihan University–Erbil organized a scientific visit to Pirmam Hospital for fourth-year Public Administration students, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Raz Azad Jalal.

The students were warmly received by Mr. Hozan Ahmad Hussien, the Administrative Director of Pirmam Hospital, who presented an overview of the hospital’s organizational structure and administrative framework. He explained the roles and functions of the hospital’s main departments, including Management (Administration), Employment and Human Resources, Procurement (Supplies), Statistics, Admissions and Discharge, Computer and Information Technology, Accounts and Finance, Records and Archives, Birth Registration, Environment and Public Health, as well as Service and Support Services. This introduction offered students valuable insights into how public administration principles are implemented in governmental healthcare institutions.

With the assistance of Dr. Arkan Falah Hussien and Dr. Slava Salar Anwar, the students toured various departments of the hospital under the guidance of the Administrative Director. During the visit, one of the doctors discussed the nature of his work and explained his professional responsibilities. These responsibilities included conducting daily patient examinations, preparing medical reports, writing official reports for the police in cases of accidents and emergency situations, and submitting these reports to Dr. Kamaran, who is responsible for overseeing all patients at Pirmam Hospital.

At the end of the visit, the students expressed their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the administration and staff of Pirmam Hospital for their warm reception, cooperation, and valuable information, which greatly contributed to enhancing their practical understanding of public administration within the healthcare sector.
