Scientific trip to Jaleel Khyat Mosque
On the 7th of April 2015, as a part of “History of Islamic Architecture” lecture, Mrs. Ban Abdulrahaman had commenced a scientific trip to Jaleel Khyat Mosque, as a part of the required unit of study to explore and examine Islamic architecture and its unique details on site.
the purpose of the trip was to examine all the architectural elements of the building, before analyzing them, then categorizing each element individually, determining which one is a modern element and which one is the more traditional element which belong to the pure traditional Islamic architecture style.
all data has been collected via the three resources below:
– meeting & interviewing Mr Wheshyar abdulwahab (head supervision team of the project), who thankfully had accompanied us along the trip.
– notes and guidance of lecturer Mrs Ban Abdulrahaman.
– Photography and documentation by the students
