Students from the Department of General Education Visited Hana City School
The Department of General Education planned a scientific visit to Hana City School to familiarize fourth-grade students with potential obstacles and challenges in public schools.
On Thursday, October 12, 2023, a group of 20 fourth-year students from the Department of General Education conducted a visit to Hana City School, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Dashne Abdulla Saeed. They were warmly welcomed by the principal, Dilzar Khdhir Ali, vice principal, Najat Agha Aziz, and social researcher Yassin Jalal. Before touring the classrooms, the students received a briefing on various educational and scientific topics related to public school teaching.
Later, the students attended classrooms in small groups to become acquainted with the potential barriers and challenges they might encounter during their actual teaching. Furthermore, they engaged in productive discussions with the school’s administrative staff to seek solutions to these issues.
It is worth noting that fourth-grade students from the Department of General Education will commence their month-long practicum at both public and private schools next week. This scientific visit provided them with an excellent opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the teaching environment in public schools.
