Students of the General Education Department Visit the Cihan Institute
On Tuesday, November 16th, 2021 the department of General Education organized a scientific visit for its third-year students to the Cihan Institute, under the supervision of Assistant lecturer Dashne Abdullah Saeed. The visiting delegation were welcomed by the director of Cihan institute Mr. Nawzad Talaat Othman.
At the beginning, Mr. Nawzad gave an explanation about the departments of the institute, the number of the students and the language of the study at the institute. Later on, the students were divided into three groups and visited the classrooms and learned about the methods of teaching employed at the institute. In addition, the institute’s director gave some tips to the visiting students to pay attention to the English language skills and improve their language proficiency. Moreover, he stressed that teachers should be able to manage classes in a way that they can use the skills they have in teaching. He also hoped that the visiting students would be able to teach at the institute after they graduate.
During the visit, the students raised some questions and got answers by the institute’s director. The visit was useful as it resulted in an agreement with the director of the institute to exchange visits and share information and activities among students.
It is worth mentioning that the Cihan institute was established in 2019, and it consists of three departments, including Administration, Computer Science and Accounting. It has 600 students and the duration of study is five years.
At the end of the visit, the visiting delegation thanked Mr. Nawzad Talaat for welcoming them and the efforts of this educational institution; for its decent organization, performance and collaborating with the teaching staff of the institute.
