Teaching English through Audio-Visual Tools
Within the activities of Biomedical Sciences Department/ College of Sciences. A workshop was held on Monday 12th of April 2021 with the title “Teaching as Role Models” in the VIP hall of Cihan University, Mrs. Rozhin Hossein Rahman presented a seminar entitled “Teaching English through Audio-visual Tools”.
The lecturer started her presentation with general information about online teaching. The objectives of the lecture were as follows:
- To attract and retain learner’s attention.
- To develop lesson plans that are simple and easy to follow.
- To make the class more interactive and interesting.
- To enhance the teacher’s ability to deliver the lesson in simple, effective, and easy way.
- To make teaching meaningful, enjoyable, and involving.
The head of the department, staff members, students, professors, researchers, and guests from Cihan University and other universities attended the lecture. Discussion and questions followed the session to enrich the topic with further information and experience. The lecture was ended with a set of recommendations concerning the topic.
