The Biomedical Sciences Department Students Attended the Practical Microbiology Course at Nano Laboratory

On September 25th, 2023, third-year Biomedical Sciences Department students of Cihan University – Erbil received lectures at Nano Laboratory for the practical Microbiology course. The lectures received on this date were a continuation of their previous lectures and lessons of this course gained in the usual classroom at Cihan University – Erbil as well as at Nano laboratory.

The students went to the aforementioned laboratory under the supervision of their course instructor; Assistant Lecturer Mohammed M. Hussein.

Upon arrival, the students were warmly welcomed by Mr. Hayder A. Saeed (Lab Manager). The students later received a series of lectures delivered by Nano laboratory staff. In addition, the students were exposed to the most cutting-edge devices, instruments, and equipment available at that laboratory which are related to the Biomedical Sciences field.

In-depth explanations and demonstrations of how to use each technology were provided for students’ knowledge. The devices that the students gained knowledge from included Cobas C111 for the biochemical tests and Cobas e411 used for hormonal, viruses, and vitamin tests. Moreover, a spectrophotometer was used for determining the level of mineral components in the blood and LensHook was then used for the Seminal Fluid Examination.
