The Business Administration Department Organized Humanitarian and Artistic for People with Special Needs at the Kawrgosk Camp.
The students from the Business Administration Department continued their humanitarian efforts by organizing an artistic volunteer event on Wednesday, April 14, 2024, at the community center of the Kawrgosk camp. They worked together with the camp administration and the United Nations TDH organization to host the event, which aimed to bring benefits to the people with special needs living in the camp.
The initial part of the event involved distributing a set of food baskets to the families of individuals with special needs in the camp. This marks the beginning of a series of initiatives planned for the upcoming period, continuing the campaign to distribute food baskets in support of needy families and the most vulnerable groups in society.
The following part featured a collaborative artistic session involving talents from the camp, encompassing musicians, singers, and artists from the Business Administration Department. Notably, Hawkar Tawfiq, a third-year student in Business Administration, showcased outstanding skills as an instrumentalist. A diverse group of students from various academic levels actively participated in this endeavor. This occasion played a pivotal role in uplifting the spirits of individuals with special needs through the performance of traditional Kurdish songs. It significantly contributed to fostering the integration of this group of camp residents into society, evoking smiles of happiness on their faces.
The activity wrapped up with the distribution of gifts to those with special needs, consisting of Kurdish folkloric costumes designed for both females and males, each customized according to their age. Those who received the gifts expressed their joy and gratitude, appreciating the considerate and thoughtful gesture.
It is worth noting that this initiative was supported by the Department of Business Administration and was executed under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Bushra Ali, with the active participation of a group of the department’s students, most notably the student Abdullah Sarbast and student Arazue Ali from the third stage.
