The Business Administration Department organizes a field visit to Talabat Company
As part of the applied activities of the Business Administration Department and within the practical applications of the Management Information Systems Subject/Fourth year, the Business Administration Department organized on Thursday, 25th January/ 2024, a field visit to Talabat Company, as one of the most important companies operating in the Middle East in the field of delivery and restaurants service, for a group of fourth year students supervised by the Assistant Lecturer Ms. Bushra Ali.
The first part of the visit included a field tour by Mr. Ava Salah, the company’s Administration manager in Iraq, to acquaint the students with all the company’s departments, explaining the work activities of each department and the responsibilities of each department, in addition to the incentives and punishment system adopted in the company for each department based on the high and low levels of the employee’s activity.
The second part was presented by Mr. Abdulsamad Talal, Logistics Manager of Talabat Company in Iraq, who illustrated the working mechanisms of logistics activities of the company and their relationship to the marketing, the sales function, and the continuous improvement of the company’s performance.
The third part included an explanation of the qualities that an individual must possess to work with Talabat Company in the technical field of the application or to work as an employee, in addition to the skills and experience required for the individuals applying for a job, and how to select and divide city areas automatically through the application to obtain the best and fastest services that satisfy customers.
While the third part included presenting some success stories of employees in the company who started from scratch after graduating from the university with various specializations and progressed through the work until they reached important work positions in the company.
While the last part included an illustration of the mechanism of work of Talabat application program and using artificial intelligence by the development and programming experts in the company. The visit concluded by opening the way for the students to ask their questions about the work of the application and the problems that customers face and how to solve them.
