The College of Dentistry at Cihan University -Erbil Organized a White Coat Ceremony

At Cihan University – Erbil, a special ceremony was held in the conference hall for first-stage students of the College of Dentistry on the occasion of enrollment in the college.

The ceremony, which was dedicated to wearing the white coat, was attended by Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi (President of Cihan University-Erbil), Asst. Prof. Dr. Maysoon Tahir AL-Haideri (Vice President for Scientific Affairs) including a number of members of the university council and the academic staff of the College of Dentistry with the first-stage students and their families.

After welcoming the guests, Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi delivered his speech about the medical profession in general and dentistry in society in particular. He mentioned that ‘‘Medicine is one of the important professions in the general view of society, so it is important for future students who hold the title of the medical profession, especially dentistry to be loyal to people as well as society and to meet their expectations’’. He also added that ‘‘the university meets the needs of students in various scientific and practical aspects according to the best international standards and wishes students to become distinguished dentists in the community package, thus achieving hopes for yourself, your family, and your community’’.

Dr. Rebaz Tahsin Kakai, Dean of the College of Dentistry, delivered a welcoming speech to first-stage students of the aforementioned college and wished them success, stressing their support and providing a complete scientific environment for the students.

Other than that, a seminar on the Faculty of Dentistry and other departments at Cihan University – Erbil. was presented

The ceremony ended with having the students wear a white coat, handing over the congratulatory certificates, and re-welcoming the students. This session was also special, as it ended with traditional music.
