The College of Pharmacy at Cihan University-Erbil Celebrated World Pharmacists’ Day
The College of Pharmacy at Cihan University-Erbil organized a celebration for World Pharmacists’ Day on Monday, 25th of September 2023.
This celebration was held in the presence of the Cihan University-Erbil President (Professor Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi), the Vice President of Administrative Affairs (Assistant Professor Dr. Abdul Sattar Karim), a number of HODs, faculty members, and students.
The college held an introductory exhibition, which aims to educate the public about the roles of pharmacists and to encourage activities that enhance the pharmacists’ work in improving the health care provided to patients and their integral role as active members of the medical team.
The students from the aforementioned college created a virtual pharmacy in which they introduced many medications and explained how to use them safely, including displaying educational and informational posters.
Professor Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi expressed his happiness at organizing a special celebration for World Pharmacists’ Day. He appreciated their efforts in complementing the medical system in hospitals and praised the effective role played by those in charge of the Pharmacy Department across various medical fields.
