THE DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION ORGANIZED A FIELD VISIT TO R.A.Q. FACTORY
On 11 October 2022 (Tuesday), the Department of Business Administration organized a field visit for third-stage students to the R.A.Q. The aims of this visit is to expose to the students on pre-stressed bridges manufactured using reinforced concrete, under the supervision of the Assistant Lecturer Ms. Sahar Jalal Fattah and Assistant Lecturer Ms. Laila Bahjat, as part of the department’s effort to improve students’ theoretical aspects with practical applications in the field of business management.
The factory was established nearly five years ago as the only factory that produces this type of reinforced bridge that is used in construction in Iraq, which gives many advantages including lower costs for the customers and higher levels of durability. The standard time takes to build this type of reinforced concrete and compliance with international standards and specifications were discuss.
The visit included a field trip with Mr. Shawan Muhammad Al-Naqshbandi. He explained the working mechanism and different stages involved in manufacturing a reinforced concrete bridge, from planning the concrete mix to executing the concrete mix pouring process on the production line. He also highlights how the product is prepared according to the customer’s recommended requirements and transported to the customer’s store via a special panel.
