The Department of Interior Design Engineering Organized a Scientific Visit to Ekhlas Furniture Company

On Thursday, February 6th, 2025, second-year students from the Department of Interior Design Engineering at Cihan University organized a scientific visit to Ekhlas Furniture Company, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Lana Shahab Ahmed.

The visit aimed to provide students with practical experience in analyzing workplace design and spatial organization. After receiving approval, the students met with Miss Ekhlas, who guided them through the experience. The students gained valuable insights into efficient workspace planning, including the spatial distribution of offices, meeting rooms, and collaborative areas to optimize workflow. They also explored furniture selection and placement, focusing on ergonomics, aesthetics, and sustainability.

During the visit, the students learned about the integration of materials and interior finishes in creating productive and visually appealing work environments, as well as sustainable practices in office and furniture design that align with the university’s sustainability goals. This initiative reinforces Cihan University’s commitment to bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application, equipping students with the skills necessary to meet the evolving demands of the interior and architectural design industries.

At the end of the visit, Assistant Lecturer Lana Shahab Ahmed thanked Miss Ekhlas for her valuable time and the insights she shared with the students.
