The Department of International Relations and Diplomacy Organized a Scientific Visit

On Sunday, March 16, 2025, the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy at Cihan University – Erbil organized a scientific visit to the Protocol Department in the Kurdistan Region.

Upon their arrival, the second-stage students were received by Dr. Shirzad Azad Sultan, the head of the Protocol Department. Dr. Shirzad provided a detailed explanation of the department’s work and emphasized the importance of adhering to proper protocol rules during various ceremonies. He also discussed how these ceremonies are organized during official visits to the Kurdistan Region.

This visit served as a direct practical experience for the students, offering them training on protocol procedures and the key rules followed in organizing such events in the Kurdistan Region. The students engaged actively during the visit by asking Dr. Shirzad insightful questions, particularly about the nature of the department’s work when receiving official delegations and how the staff are trained in these precise rules that reflect the prestige and effectiveness of the Kurdistan Region in the international community. Dr. Shirzad answered all the students’ questions and praised their academic abilities and knowledge of the essential rules of diplomatic protocol.
