Department of International Relations and Diplomacy Students Visit the Kurdistan Region Parliament

On Wednesday, October 21, 2026, the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy at Cihan University–Erbil organized a scientific visit to the Kurdistan Region Parliament for fourth-year students under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Saman Hassan Ali.

Upon arrival, the student delegation was warmly received by Mr. Evan Jorj, Director of Protocol and International Relations at the Kurdistan Region Parliament. He welcomed the students and provided a detailed explanation of the established rules and procedures for protocol management and high-level diplomatic and institutional engagement.

The explanation took place in the official protocol hall designated for receiving presidents, ministers, ambassadors, and consuls.

The visit also included a guided tour of the corridors and departments of the main parliament building. The students visited the parliamentary session hall, where they learned about the parliament’s role as the legislative authority in the region, the procedures for raising and discussing issues, the process of voting on laws, and the distribution of parliamentary seats.

 The students also visited the main parliamentary library to explore its research resources and collections.
