THE DEPARTMENT OF MEDIA ORGANIZED A VOLUNTARY CAMPAIGN

On February 18, 2023, the Media Department, under supervision of Assistant Lecturer Omar Hassan Fahmy, organized a voluntary fundraiser to raise and distribute funds to earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria.

Assistant Lecturer Omar Hassan Fahmy and his group of students, in collaboration with the Barzani Charitable Foundation, traveled to Shaqlawa to deliver the collected relief supplies to the Relief Capital Department.

Aid donated by many of the students will be transferred to the Foundation’s store at the Salah El-Din Resort and will be transported to the affected areas of Syria and Turkey.

This participation is a statement of solidarity with the victims of the earthquake and a response to their misfortune, as the media sector contributes to many initiatives aimed at alleviating the suffering of those affected by the disaster. It is a kind of moral and material support.
