The President of Cihan University – Erbil meets with the Vice President of the Sports Federation of Iraqi Universities
In order to strengthen and activate sports activities, Prof. Dr. Hussein Saadi, Vice President of the Sports Federation of Iraqi Universities, visited Cihan University – Erbil and met with Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Dalawi, President of Cihan University – Erbil.In the meeting held on Sunday (12/6/2022), in the presence of Dr. Qian Othman Jamal, Head of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Cihan University – Erbil.
The Vice-President of the Sports Federation of Iraqi Universities pointed to the purpose of his visit and said: We are working to activate sports activity in Iraqi universities and the Kurdistan Region, and that Cihan University – Erbil as a leading university, especially in the Kurdistan Region, is also a member of the General Authority of the Sports Federation of Iraqi Universities and for this we wish to provide cooperation and support to Cihan University – Erbil.After Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Dalawi, President of Cihan University – Erbil, welcomed Prof. Hussein Saadi, he congratulated him for his selection as Vice-President of the Sports Federation of Iraqi Universities.With regard to sports activities, the President of Cihan University – Erbil said: Our university, being an advanced and private university, has a special department called (Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences), and annually students participate in many sports activities inside and outside of Iraq, in addition to this, Cihan University-Erbil owns a private sports club, as well as the university owns an indoor playground and an outdoor open field
Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Dalawi confirmed that the university, with its rich experience in the field of sports, will support and encourage the Sports Federation of Iraqi universities, as well as various sports activities.At the end of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Dalawi wished the Vice President of the Sports Federation of Iraqi Universities success in his work and his new mission.
