The president of Cihan University- Erbil, Professor Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Dalawi, met with a group from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
A group from the Japan International Cooperation Agency visited Cihan University – Erbil to coordinate and promote scientific connections with Cihan University-Erbil. They had a meeting with Professor Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Dalawi, the president of the university.
The team of Japan’s JICA Agency, led by Mr. Nishikawa, the adviser on the project, was received on Monday, February 12, 2024, by Professor Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Dalawi, President of Cihan University- Erbil, at the Iraqi Office of Jaika Iraq. “Cihan University-Erbil is the first private university in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, which was established in 2007,” said Professor Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Dalawi, who had welcomed the guest delegation at the start of the meeting. “In another part of his speech, the President of Cihan University-Erbil talked about the scientific steps of the development of Cihan-University of Erbil,” he said, before briefly discussing the level of their scientific relations with universities.
The Japanese Agency delegation, along with the president of Cihan University-Erbil and Dr. Abdul–Sattar Karim, vice president for Administrative and Student Affairs, Dr. Salih Zebari, director of international relations at Cihan University-Erbil, Amozhgar Hawez, program manager at Jaika Iraq’s office, and Takaw, general manager of Kyoto Kagaku Company, discussed teaching techniques, training programs, capability development courses, and awarding professional degrees in the same meeting. For this reason, Dr. Hamza Uribat gave a brief overview of the foundation after expressing their satisfaction with the quantity and quality of advancements made at Cihan University- Erbil. They emphasized that the Talal Abu Ghazala Jahani Foundation has a wealth of experience in the provision of professional and educational services, particularly in the opening of courses and training programs in various fields for the development of human capabilities. Teachers’ scientific skills, particularly in the area of education, will be developed in collaboration with Cihan University – Erbil.
