The students of Banking and Financial Sciences Department participate in a radio interview at Cihan Radio
On October 25, 2021, the students of the Banking and of Financial Science Department, Cihan University-Erbil participated in a Radio interview entitled ‘My Department is the best Department’. The activity was done under the supervision of the head of the department Dr. Hawkar Qassim Birdawod, and the department’s rapporteur, the Assistant Lecturer Manaf Basil Raouf. Maryam Mowaffaq Mohi and Alia Shaker Maraan, the fourth year students attended the interview and talked about the department, its goals, mission, the nature of study and the curriculum. They also presented their opinions on university’s life, the intended benefit of studying the finance and banking specialization, and offered their advice to the new students who are about joining the department.
The answers of the students focused on the continuous training they receive to work in the financial markets and the department’s cooperation with many private banks in Kurdistan and Iraq in all the fields of application and the available job opportunities in many fields such as financial analysis, financial markets and insurance companies.
The students realistically clarified their appreciation to the efforts exerted by the university and the extent of the great benefit that they obtained during the years of study and following the latest methods and strategies in teaching methods and linking the study field to the requirements of the labor market and using applications for the various fields of specialization. They also discussed the quality of the department’s curriculum that matches the best international universities.
The interview was ended with a discussion of the reasons why students should choose this department. They mentioned the availability of all scientific and applied capabilities to make the study materials easier to understand, providing various computer applications in this field, in addition to the importance of specialization in general in all governmental agencies and private companies.
