Undertaking the Reconstruction of a Public School in Erbil by Business Administration Department
Within the continuous efforts to maintain and reconstruct public schools and to expand its social activities, the Department of Business Administration, Cihan University-Erbil chose the “Shaheed Khejahbawah” High School for girls on Zanko Street in Erbil. Through an exploratory visit on December 7th, 2021, a committee of the department found out the damaged parts of the school.
The visit included a field tour accompanied by, Ms. Sherihan Farhad Saeed, the principal of the school, to all of the classrooms, the school’s main halls and scientific laboratories for physics, chemistry and biology. Ms. Sherihan also showed the school yard, corridors, student’s bathrooms and teachers’ rooms.
The school tour resulted in diagnosing many problems, including the need for maintaining and replacing the electrical infrastructure of the school, maintaining the doors and washbasins for bathrooms, in addition to the necessity of providing the school laboratories with shelves for the practical side and providing wheeled chairs and washbasins specialized in conducting experiments within the practical side of physics, chemistry and biology. Later, the responsible committee will execute the necessary maintenance work in the school.
This visit was supervised by Dr. Qusay Hamid Al-Salami, the Assistant lecturer Bushra Ali Zainal and the Assistant Lecturer Muhammad Saber Jami, accompanied with a group of students from different stages of the department.
