University programs and initiatives focused on the environment were the subject of another academic topic presented to the students of Cihan University-Erbil

In the closing days of the summer training course organized by the University of Lodz, which brought together students from various nationalities, a specific topic was introduced to the students, including those from Cihan University-Erbil. This topic delved into universities and environmental programs.

Dr. Rene Marcelino Abritta Teixeira from Brazil delivered a seminar titled “Socio-environmentally Aware Undergraduate Curriculum Design.” During the seminar, he provided a comprehensive discussion on the process of designing university programs that address environmental issues and outlined strategies for their effective implementation. Additionally, he shared insights from Brazil and other Latin American countries, highlighting their experiences in this field.

The students from Cihan University-Erbil showed keen interest in the topic and actively engaged in discussions regarding these experiences. They expressed enthusiasm about implementing similar approaches and the potential benefits for Iraq as a whole and the Kurdistan Region in particular.
