A group of students from Cihan University-Erbil visits the Syriac Catholic Patriarchate of Antioch
On Tuesday, November 30th, 2021, a group of students from the Department of International and Diplomatic Relations at Cihan University-Erbil under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Rashid Michael Muhammad, visited Bishop Mar Nathanael Nizar Semaan, Archbishop of Hadyab Diocese and the Syriac-Catholic Kurdistan Region,
During the visit, the Archbishop spoke about the role of the diplomatic connection between countries and its impact on friendly relations among people. He also pointed out that countries need diplomats in order to end conflicts and wars in general and be away from partisan, national or religious affiliation specifically.
The bishop focused on encouraging young people to have constructive dialogue with the other as the language of dialogue is the only language for resolving conflicts.
The meeting ended with an affirmation of the continuation and maintenance of such visits between the two sides as part of the cultural exchange activities.
