A Scientific Trip of Translation Seniors to Rudaw Media Network

On Wednesday (3/3/2021), the senior students of Translation Department under the direct supervision of head of department (Dr. Sirvan Aminzadeh) had a scientific trip for the students to Rudaw Media Network., the journey which lasted for more than 3 hours was interesting and full of new things to learn.

There, the students got familiar with the stages of content gathering, news confirmation, and production. More importantly, they realized the essential role of translators and interpreters in all steps of news production.

  Visiting a few professional translators and interpreters there, they were told what they need to become competent and professional translators in media. Such scientific trips will make students find more on translation profession in the real world.

Preparing students for the competitive translation market is one of the main goals of Translation Department of Cihan university-Erbil.
