The Medical Biochemical Analysis Department of Cihan University-Erbil arranged a scientific visit to (DLBA) factory for the second stage students of the department under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Ban Abdullelah Mohammed. The students visited the Quality Control Section and Quality Assurance of Dairy Products of the laboratory and of the factory.
In this visit, the necessary instructions for the production of liquid milk and its derivatives, such as cream, butter, curd, cheese and ice cream were discussed. The microphone laboratory of the DLBA laboratory was identified. The students learnt how to perform a total count test for aerobic and anaerobic microbes, fungi and yeast. They were informed that milk must be free from food poisoning microbes and their toxins, and it must not exceed the permissible limits.
Furthermore, a discussion has been made on how to make milk pasteurization according to special conditions and standards. Another aspect of this science has also been dealt with, which is homogeneity or homogeneity.
