At a Special Ceremony: Cihan University-Erbil Distributes Certificates to the Participants of the Physiotherapy Course
In addition to educating students in various fields, Cihan University-Erbil annually provides different opportunities for students and enthusiasts to develop their skills. In this context, Cihan University-Erbil held a special course in physiotherapy.
During the five-day course, participants were trained daily through practical and theoretical methods by professors and experts in the field of physiotherapy. At the end of the course, a ceremony was held in the university’s VIP hall.
Professor Dr. Amjad Sabir Al-Dalawi, President of Cihan University-Erbil, distributed participation and graduation certificates to the participants. In his speech, after congratulating the participants and thanking the professors and experts of the course, he emphasized the importance of such courses to improve the scientific level of graduates and students. He said that participation in such courses is one of the requirements for updating information, and because all sciences are constantly changing and evolving, knowledge and learning should not be limited to university education and obtaining a degree but should continue after university.
In another part of his speech, the President of Cihan University-Erbil congratulated the students and the graduates who participated in the course, saying that the science of physical therapy for treating patients is one of the most continuously evolving sciences. Subsequently, Professor Dr. Amjad Sabir Al-Dalawi distributed the certificates to the participants.
The course covered all aspects of physical therapy, including the evaluation and examination of patients, especially arthritis, physical examination, gait analysis, laboratory tests (blood) for diagnosing and evaluating MSK disorders for PT, as well as planning for joint treatment and strengthening (nerve stimulation), exercise techniques, physical therapy techniques, especially acupuncture, facial muscle release principles, and the principles of wet and dry bathing. Other aspects of the course included discussing the role of PT in the ICU and various fields of physical therapy.
