Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign at the Erbil Citadel by the Radiological Imaging Technologies Department Students
On the occasion of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the second-stage students from the Radiological Imaging Technologies Department of Cihan University-Erbil, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Noor Sami Omar, held an awareness campaign for breast cancer at the Erbil Citadel on Tuesday (October 17th, 2023).
The primary aim of this campaign was to increase public knowledge of breast cancer awareness, including its risk factors, symptoms, and prevention methods.
Breast cancer is a significant public health concern, affecting millions of individuals worldwide. Early detection and awareness are crucial in improving survival rates and reducing the impact of this disease on individuals and communities.
On this day, the students distributed brochures to the public and explained the importance of diagnostics in preventing breast cancer early. They also answered the public’s questions about breast cancer.
