Cihan University-Erbil participates in the first medical exhibition for medical educational resources in Karbala, Iraq
Cihan University-Erbil participated in a Scientific Exhibition for Medical Matters held at Al-Zahraa University for Girls in the holy city of Karbala from October 5th to October 11th, 2022.
Under the auspices of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and under the supervision of the General Secretariat of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, and under the slogan “Karbala is Iraq’s medical compass”, the Universities of Warith al-Anbiya and Al-Zahra for girls held the first international exhibition of modern medical educational resources and more than 24 universities attended there. All governmental and private sectors including medical research and specialized centers, medical device companies, medical device and supplies companies, medical education software companies, publishing houses specialized in medical books indexed within international containers, researchers, lecturers, prominent scientists, and specialists from medical companies took part in this event.
In a speech he delivered at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Hussainiya Holy Shrine, Dr. Alaa Zia El-Din, said, “We must remember the beginning of creation and how man was found on this blessed land. A difference in creation since the early ages, but the development of thought, the human mind, the way of thinking, and the surrounding circumstances has made this human being to be an inventor and has developed in a way that we have reached these advanced scientific techniques.”
Cihan University-Erbil, under the supervision of Mr. Adil Hussein Al-Delawi, Head of Software and Informatics Engineering Department, and a number of university staffs participated and several scientific projects produced by students in the field of flour for the exhibition were displayed. The first day of the exhibition ended after a large number of visitors visited our booth and they expressed their admiration for the projects presented.
Local television interviews were recorded in which Mr. Adil Hussein provided an overview on the university colleges and departments. He also mentioned the significance of supporting student projects by the university presidency and the teaching staff.
A delegation from the Hussainiya Holy Shrine had earlier visited Cihan University-Erbil. During their visit, Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, President of Cihan University-Erbil said, “We were honored by the delegation of the Hussainiya Holy Shrine, and we appreciate their invitation to attend in the international medical exhibition will be held in Karbala, which will exhibit products, works, equipment and medical supplies, as well as research and innovations”. He also added: “We have seven medical departments at Cihan University-Erbil, in addition to the departments of dentistry and pharmacy, and we will participate in the exhibition in order to gain solid scientific expertise and joint work as well as exchanging scientific expertise.”
