Cihan University-Erbil Student Delivers a Scientific Seminar at Warsaw University of Life Sciences
On Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) in Poland, Ahmed Jabbar Hassan Yousif, a third-year student from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at Cihan University-Erbil, and currently pursuing his studies through the Erasmus+ program, presented a scientific session. The event was held under the supervision of Professor Dr. Mohammed Kalaji and was attended by a diverse group of international students.
In the first segment, Ahmed Jabbar highlighted the history and evolution of Cihan University-Erbil as a pioneering institution of higher education in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq. He provided detailed insights into the university’s diverse academic departments and modern learning environment. Furthermore, he showcased the university’s significant achievements and high rankings in international, regional, and national evaluations, presenting a professional image of the academic excellence of both the university and the Kurdistan Region.
In the second segment, he delivered a specialized scientific seminar titled ‘Plant Communication Mechanisms.’ Ahmed Jabbar provided a rigorous analysis of the chemical and physiological interactions within plants, describing them as a specialized language used for signaling and responding to environmental stimuli. The topic attracted significant interest as it explored the complex biological processes through which plants sense danger and transmit warnings to neighboring vegetation an important subject within life sciences and biotechnology.
Professor Dr. Mohammed Kalaji, the scientific supervisor, commended Ahmed Jabbar’s proficiency and his ability to present complex topics using strong scientific language and an engaging style. The activity concluded with an open discussion and an exchange of ideas among students from various countries.
