Cihan University-Erbil Students Continue Their Scientific Pursuits in Poland
In the academic path of their science curriculum, students from Cihan University-Erbil are actively contributing to the discourse on oncology through the presentation of two seminal topics on cancer and its prevention at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, Poland. It is as a result of the collaborative partnership between Cihan University-Erbil and the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, SGGW, Poland.
Razan Raed Barani, a student from the Department of Biomedical Sciences, Cihan University-Erbil currently stationed in Warsaw University of Life Sciences, Poland due to the inter-university collaboration, has delivered an insightful analysis into the cancer-preventive properties of cruciferous vegetables, positioning them as superfoods within the preventive oncology paradigm. Through a thorough analysis, she emphasized the significant role of these vegetables in mitigating the onset of various cancer types. This presentation represents a major scientific contribution to the field of biomedical science, underscoring the value of natural compounds in oncological prevention and treatment strategies.
Similarly, Abdulrahman Yareeb Idrees, also a student within the Department of Biomedical Sciences, Cihan University-Erbil and presently engaged in the Erasmus Plus program at Warsaw University of Life Sciences, has elucidated the anticancer efficacy of chamomile and black seed. Idrees’ investigation into these natural substances contributes valuable insights into the integrative approach towards cancer prevention, highlighting the symbiosis between traditional herbal wisdom and contemporary scientific validation in the fight against cancer.
