Cihan University-Erbil Students Participate in the Cultural Festival at Warsaw University of Life Sciences
On Saturday, May 16, 2026, the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) hosted a grand scientific and cultural festival titled ‘SGGW Days 2026’ Dni SGGW 2026. The event was organized as part of the university’s 210th-anniversary celebrations, highlighting SGGW’s status as one of the oldest and most prestigious academic institutions in Poland and Europe.
During the festival, exchange students from Cihan University-Erbil had the opportunity to explore the academic diversity of SGGW and participate in various scientific demonstrations and cultural exhibitions. The event provided a vibrant multicultural environment that allowed students to experience authentic Polish academic traditions and learn about recent innovations in Biotechnology, Food Science, and Environmental Protection. In addition, the students engaged in scientific discussions with Polish researchers and participated in hands-on experiments in open laboratories, further enriching their international academic experience.
The participating students from Cihan University-Erbil included Kosrat Azad Khidir and Rawa Abdulsattar Jabbar, second-year students from the Department of Medical Microbiology; Abdullah Muthanna Abdulrazzaq Mohammed and Ahmed Jabbar Hassan Yousif, third-year students from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics; and Hevar Hazhar Mohammed, a third-year student from the Department of Biomedical Sciences. Ahmed Jabbar Hassan Yousif and Hevar Hazhar Mohammed are participating through the global Erasmus+ program funded by the European Union, while the other students are enrolled through the bilateral exchange framework and the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Cihan University-Erbil and SGGW.
