Cihan University-Erbil to Host International Conference and Workshop on Obesity Prevention and Treatment
Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, President of Cihan University-Erbil, an international scientific conference and workshop titled “Obesity: A New Era 2026 – From Scientific Evidence to Daily Practice” will be held at Cihan University-Erbil, featuring prominent experts and specialists in the field.
Organized by the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at Cihan University-Erbil in collaboration with BARSAM International Development and Innovation Company, the event is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, October 21 and 22, 2026, at the university Conference Hall.
On the first day, the conference will focus on the latest international scientific evidence, preventive strategies, therapeutic interventions, modern anti-obesity injections, as well as surgical and pharmacological treatments presented by medical specialists.
The second day will feature a specialized workshop addressing the role of nutritionists, childhood obesity management, and various scientific topics to be presented by experts, researchers, alumni, and students from the aforementioned department.
The conference will conclude with the presentation of certificates of participation and appreciation to the attendees.
