College of Pharmacy at Cihan University – Erbil Organized an International Workshop on Pharmaceutical and Microbiological Sciences

The College of Pharmacy at Cihan University – Erbil organized a workshop titled ‘‘Pharmaceutical and Microbiological Sciences: Applications in Industry, Drug Production, Economic Impact, and Future Prospects’’ on Sunday, November 19, 2023. The workshop was held under the supervision of the Dean of the aforementioned college, Dr. Mohammed Ayden. It was conducted by Professor Dr. Oztekin Algul and Dr. Ronak Ersan from Erzincan University, Turkey, and Mersin University, Turkey, respectively.

The workshop speakers discussed new applications in the discovery and production of highly effective drugs across various fields and their economic impact, as well as the future prospects in modern drug discovery. They highlighted the use of artificial intelligence under the supervision of researchers as a means to advance this field.

Moreover, they addressed near and far-reaching future plans in the field of modern drug discovery and their impact on the economy at both individual and global levels, with the aim of capitalizing on them economically.

One of the objectives of the workshop was to emphasize the transformation of scientific ideas into applied research, with a particular focus on innovating and enhancing cancer drugs.
