Community Health Nursing Department Students Conduct Field Inspection at Food Box Restaurant

On October 18, 2026, fourth-stage students from the Department of Community Health Nursing at Cihan University–Erbil conducted a field visit to Food Box Restaurant under the supervision of Dr. Firas Ismael Mustafa.

Upon arrival, the students were warmly received by Mr. Talaat Mohamed, the restaurant owner, who provided an introduction to the restaurant.

 The visit offered students an opportunity to observe the restaurant’s working environment and gain practical insights into food service operations and the importance of maintaining appropriate hygiene and sanitation standards.

During the field inspection, the students examined several important aspects of food safety and environmental health. These included the restaurant’s cleanliness and surrounding environment, food preparation and storage conditions, proper food handling practices, and the availability of appropriate sanitation measures.

They also focused on workers’ personal hygiene and health, the cleanliness of food preparation areas and equipment, and waste collection and disposal procedures. The inspection helped students understand the importance of identifying potential health risks in food service facilities and applying food safety principles to protect consumers and prevent foodborne illnesses.
