Computer Science Department Organizes a Visit to Code Xana Company to Explore Software Engineering in Practice

The Department of Computer Science at Cihan University–Erbil organized an academic visit to Code Khana Company on Thursday, October 15, 2026, for its second-year students, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Alyaa Asaad Mahdi.

Upon arrival, the students were received by the company founder, Mohammed Wrya Khudhur Ezaddin, who is also a fourth-year student from the aforementioned department.

 He established his company by drawing on the knowledge and skills acquired during his university studies and the experience gained while studying in Poland through a scholarship facilitated by Cihan University–Erbil.

 During the visit, he presented the company’s projects, explaining their technical and managerial aspects, including identifying client requirements, designing and programming software, and estimating project costs.

Finally, he discussed communication with clients and highlighted the importance of obtaining their feedback to meet their needs and ensure satisfaction.

Overall, the visit exposed students to the working environment at the company. It also showcased a fellow student’s entrepreneurial experience, highlighting how university education and international study opportunities can support professional development and student entrepreneurship.
