Department of Biomedical Sciences Participates in the International Conference and Exhibition of Pharmacy Colleges in Baghdad

The Department of Biomedical Sciences at Cihan University – Erbil took part in the largest international conference and exhibition of Pharmacy Colleges, held at Al-Abrar Conference Hall in Baghdad from April 18 to April 20, 2025.

The significant event was attended by a distinguished group of deans from various pharmacy colleges across Iraq and numerous prominent academics and international experts in the field.

The conference commenced in the presence of Dr. Haider Fouad Al-Sayegh, President of the Iraqi Pharmacists Syndicate, and Prof. Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, President of the University of Baghdad. On behalf of the Iraqi Minister of Higher Education, Prof. Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, delivered the opening speech, emphasizing the significance of academic collaboration and innovation in pharmaceutical sciences.

Razan Raed Barani, a fourth-year student representing the Department of Biomedical Sciences at Cihan University – Erbil, actively participated in the event by presenting a research poster. Her contribution highlighted the academic capabilities of the department and its commitment to research excellence, earning recognition among fellow participants and attendees.

This participation reflects the department’s ongoing efforts to engage in national and international academic forums and to foster the growth of young researchers in the biomedical field.
