On Wednesday, October 21, 2026, third-stage students from the Department of English Language at Cihan University–Erbil conducted an educational grammar activity on action verbs at Hawler 2 Primary School under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Rozhin Hossein Hosseini. Upon arrival, the university students were warmly received by Mr. Mohamad Syukur, the principal of Hawler 2 Primary School.
During the activity, Tara Abdulkhaleq Hassan Rahman introduced the concept of action verbs and explained how they describe actions performed by people, animals, and things. She provided practical examples to help the pupils understand how action verbs are used in everyday communication.
Next, Sokar Farhad Othman explained how action verbs can be identified through pictures and used to construct meaningful sentences. She presented examples of common action verbs and demonstrated their use in different contexts to help the pupils improve their understanding of English grammar.
Shayan Pshtiwan Dhahir then highlighted the importance of action verbs in developing English language skills, particularly speaking, writing, and expressing ideas clearly. She encouraged the pupils to recognize action verbs in everyday situations and use them to construct meaningful sentences.
Following the presentations, the university students organized a creative poster making art activity to make learning more interactive and enjoyable. They guided the pupils in completing and decorating an action verb poster. The pupils identified the actions shown in pictures, guessed the corresponding verbs, and constructed sentences using the words they selected.
At the end of the visit, the Department of English Language students thanked Mr. Mohamad Syukur and the school staff for their warm welcome and cooperation.
