Department of Media Student took part in the Syrian Culture and Arts Festival held in Ainkawa – Erbil

On 29 October 2022 (Saturday), the General Directorate of Syrian Culture and Arts festival in Ainkawa- Erbil honored the student, Sura Sami Saleh Alkhafaji the third-stage student in Department of Media at Cihan Univiresity-Erbil.

A short documentary group was created in the presence of the Director General of Syrian Culture and Arts, Mr. Kaldo Ramzi Oganeh, a group of intellectuals, writers, Syrian content creators, and well-known social networking sites. A group of university students and youth simulate the problems experienced by working adults and what happened behind the scenes.

Short excerpts from the film and various other subjects about ISIS and the suffering of students in the conflict areas of Sinjar and Mosul, and stories representing Syria’s folk heritage that young people present in their films with all realism and authenticity. These films received awards and recognition from the Syrian General Directorate of Culture and Arts.

In this context, student Sura Sami Saleh Alkhafaji was honored as one of the artists showing support and interest in Syrian content creators organized and produced by young people in various artistic fields.
