Department of Radiological Imaging Technologies Students Deliver an Awareness Lecture at Lazani Mixed Preparatory School

On Thursday, October 15, 2026, fourth-year students from the Department of Radiological Imaging Technologies at Cihan University-Erbil delivered an awareness lecture on radiology at Lazani Mixed Preparatory School in the Altun Kupri district of Kirkuk Governorate.

The lecture was conducted under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Reem Jarallah. Upon their arrival, the students were received by the school principal, Mrs. Nazdar Akram Abdullah.

Student Raman Faisal opened the lecture with an introduction to radiology, outlining the main imaging modalities used in medical diagnosis and explaining their essential role in detecting various medical conditions.

Student Jafar Yahya then highlighted the importance of radiological technologies in modern medicine, explaining how technological advancements have improved diagnostic accuracy and reduced the time required to obtain results, thereby supporting more effective treatment.

Student Ahmed Hawar discussed the importance of early disease detection through radiological imaging, emphasizing its role in improving treatment outcomes and increasing the chances of recovery when diseases are identified at an early stage.

Student Mohamed Hussien concluded the presentations by raising awareness of breast cancer and emphasizing the importance of regular screening and early detection in improving treatment outcomes and increasing the chances of recovery.

The lecture concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, during which the school students asked questions about radiology and its various specializations.

The presenting students provided detailed answers, helping the students gain a better understanding of the field. At the end of the event, the school administration presented certificates of appreciation to the participating students in recognition of their efforts.
