Educational Workshop

The Biology Department held an educational workshop by Dr. Hasanen Al-Taiar, an Oxford-based Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist and Educator. The aim of the educational workshop is to provide participants with information on learning, educational supervision and mentoring and equip them with the skills and knowledge to act as supervisors and mentors. They aim to foster the participants’ abilities to reflect about their current educational roles as supervisors and what can be done to achieve better outcomes. They also aim to provide practical advice on supervision techniques e.g. feedback and assessments as well as mentoring as development tools.
