Four students from Cihan University Erbil went to Poland within the framework of the Erasmus Plus program.
In the context of its joint work and for scientific exchange and training at Cihan University Erbil with international institutions, Cihan University Erbil could send four students to Poland to complete a course in the European Union’s Erasmus Plus program.
On this occasion, Professor Dr. Amjad Saber Delawi, the president of Cihan University Erbil, in a speech attended by students and their relatives, congratulated the students and their families and said: “This group of students will stay there for four months and continue their studies at Warsaw University”. He said, and we are pleased and honored that students from Cihan University Erbil will participate in an international program and will take their place in Poland, one of the most developed countries in the world, especially in the field of engineering, architecture, and biometrics.
“This is an important scientific achievement for you, so each of you represents Iraq in general and in the Kurdistan Region in particular, so each of you reflects your behaviour,” said The President of Cihan University Erbil. You have to show your best because you have been selected as truly exemplary students.
In another part of his speech, Professor Dr. Amjad Saber said: “Students must abide by the instructions of Warsaw University. We will continue to have a continuous connection with you. It is true that you benefit from the culture and science of that country, but Firstly, you are visiting the country for a scientific purpose and must achieve the best scientific achievements for your country, and we will monitor and follow up on all your behavior, by receiving a monthly report from your university.
Finally, he said, “This study will give you the opportunity to obtain a scholarship in the future to complete higher education, especially a master’s degree, so we are proud of you from now on and we hope that you will be at the level of our expectations.”
The president of Cihan University Erbil thanked the Media, Evaluation, Selection and Running Committee for this process of students, who have worked hard in the past, to achieve that prosperity, and said, “We see this achievement as the attainment of our homeland to serve the future of our community.”
At the end of the meeting, students’ relatives thanked the President of Cihan University Erbil and their relevant authorities for providing their children with the opportunity to develop their skills.
Cihan University Erbil is the only private and leading university in the Kurdistan Region, which is fully registered with the European Commission and has an ID number (PIC) = 907654415. This registration allows Cihan University-Erbil to present and obtain these grants. Which can be done within the framework of European Union scientific projects, including universities in partner countries and higher education institutions including Warsaw University of Life Sciences in Poland, Ondokuz Mayis University and Mardin University in Turkey.
For the 2021-2022 academic year, Cihan University Erbil previously warned all university students in a statement that it had announced a number of courses to complete a course at Warsaw University Of Life Sciences, particularly at medical, science, and technical colleges. As a result, four students were nominated, including Rand Shakir Mahmud and Muhand Qais Abdullah in the department of architecture engineers and students Bushra Jamal Abdullah and Ahmed Luqman Karim in the Biomedical department.
