Medical Biochemical Analysis Department: How to Deal with Patients and Conduct Laboratory Experiments

For the objectives 1) to raise the level of skills that students need to know about the ways hospitals are operating, how to deal with patients, the laboratories and departments that are available, and 2) to achieve the benefit as well as to benefit others (win-win situation), a scientific and practical visit to Hawler Private Hospital in Erbil was organized by fourth-stage students from the Medical Biochemical Analysis Department on 3 November 2022.

During the visit, the hospital administrators provided the students with a detailed explanation of the hospital’s work mechanism and the role of each department in that particular hospital including the function and importance of each medical examination done on the patients. This visit was carried out under the supervision of a faculty member and Assistant Lecturer Saleh Aula.

It was a fruitful visit, with the objectives of the visit were achieved. The students thanked all staff of the hospital during the visit and expressed their special thanks to Assistant Lecturer Saleh Aula for providing them with this valuable opportunity.
