President of Cihan University – Erbil Receives Delegation from University of Okan of Turkey
Within Cihan University-Erbil’s frameworks to foster scientific collaboration and exchange expertise, a delegation from Okan University in Turkey, headed by Dr. Emre Üçsular, Director of International Relations, visited Cihan University-Erbil. On Tuesday, December 17, 2024, the delegation was warmly received by Prof. Dr. Amjad Sabir Al-Delawi, President of Cihan University-Erbil.
The visit marks an important step towards strengthening academic ties between the two institutions, with a shared commitment to mutual learning and cooperation in various scientific and educational fields.
A meeting was held at Cihan University-Erbil in the presence of the Vice President for Scientific Affairs. During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Amjad Al-Delawi, welcomed the visiting delegation and provided an overview of the university’s structure, academic departments, study system, and language of instruction.
In his address, Prof. Dr. Al-Delawi emphasized the quality of education provided at Cihan University-Erbil, noting that its graduates possess a high standard of academic achievement. This has enabled many of them to pursue advanced degrees (master’s and doctoral programs) at renowned universities worldwide.
Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Al-Delawi highlighted the university’s notable scientific achievements at local, regional, and international levels. These include obtaining accreditation from international educational institutions, securing leading positions in global university rankings, and achieving distinguished recognition within Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
In response, the visiting delegation expressed their gratitude for the warm reception and conveyed their enthusiasm for the visit. They emphasized their hope that this meeting would serve as a significant step toward building a strong academic partnership between Okan University and Cihan University-Erbil.
The delegation also provided a brief presentation on Okan University, highlighting its academic programs, institutional structure, and areas of expertise, which they shared with the President of Cihan University-Erbil as part of their discussion on future collaboration.
