Running a Course for the Union of Engineers at Cihan University-Erbil
To strengthen the relations between Cihan University-Erbil and Kurdistan Engineers Union and to benefit from each other’s experience, a course was offered at Cihan University-Erbil. President of Cihan University-Erbil received a delegation from Kurdistan Engineers Union.
On Sunday, November 6th, 2022, Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, president of Cihan University-Erbil arranged a meeting with the delegation of Kurdistan Engineers Union, Engineer Abdulrahman Ali Kurda, senior manager of the Union and Mr Botan Tahir Khoshnaw, Head of Communications and Training of the Engineers Union. They discussed how to improve their relations. They also decided to sign an agreement in the near future, in which they will draw up a plan for their future work.
Within their visit, the delegation participated in the opening of a Revit training course for architectural and civil engineers in the VIP hall. Professor Dr. Amjad in his speech welcomed the guests and announced his support to run such courses. He said: “Cihan University-Erbil as an academic and scientific center opened its doors to all Unions, organizations, and public and private institutions. Besides preparing students for the future, we believe that the university should participate in activities to develop the abilities of its staff in different fields of society. We are pleased that the Union of Engineers, which plays a major role in the reconstruction of the country’s infrastructure, participate in the development of engineers’ skills. For this purpose, the presidency of the university reaffirms the support of continuing such courses”.
Later, Engineer Abdulrahman Ali Kurda, senior manager of Kurdistan Engineers Union stated that one of the main strategies of the Kurdistan Union of Engineers is to provide various courses and training in the field of engineering in all specialties for all interested engineers in Engineers Union. He hoped that the course would become a stage for developing the field skills for engineers. Finally, he thanked the Presidency of Cihan University-Erbil for providing this opportunity and hoped that such courses would continue.
The Revit training course for architectural and civil engineers is scheduled to continue for three weeks and will be taught daily by the lecturers of the departments of Architectural Engineering and Civil Engineering at Cihan University-Erbil. The course will be presented theoretically and practically and the latest mechanism for working in the fields of architecture and civil engineering will be discussed.
