Second stage students in Nutrition and Dietetics department develop a new food recipe for increasing weight
Under the supervision of Mr. yaseen Galali lecturer of functional food course, second year students in nutrition and dietetics department had an activity in 12th of April 2021 to develop and use a new recipe for increasing weight in healthy way like cakes, pastry ,juices , milk shake and cookies.
They used a common healthy nutritive components like the whole grains, oat, barely as a source of fiber, as well as the healthy sugar substitute and honey to decrease the glycemic load, furthermore they depended on the animal butter, seeds, nuts, healthy oil as a source of fat to achieve the goal of the meals like increasing weight .
Such activities can enhance the ability of the students to deal with a common, cheap, tradition Iraqi food choices to add them as a new recipe for better life quality.
