Students from Nutrition and Dietetics department visited Central Laboratory in Erbil

On 2/3/2023 second-year students from Nutrition and Dietetics department visited the Central Laboratory in Erbil for the detection and examination of foods under the supervision of Dr. Sara Omar Swar who teaches (food microbiology) course.

They used the devices of the center to practice doing tests in microbiology and food, they examined rice and bread in the laboratory to show HPLC and GC for food. They checked the conditions of the storage and the equipment used at the cafeteria.

They gave their feedback based on their observations of the safety control check they did as well as the microbiology laboratory to learn about the laboratory equipment. These types of activities help the students to extend their knowledge in the field of Nutrition.
